Nine Days in Vegas #SPC12

By Melissa Risteff, November 21, 2012

Each time I hang out with the SharePoint community, I am struck by how lucky I am to be part of the ecosystem. After a ton of client and partner meet-ups, I’d like to share my favorite experiences of last week’s SharePoint Conference (#SPC12).

NewsGator + Webtrends = Crush

WebtrendsI have a crush on our new friends at Webtrends – never have I met such an amazing, hardworking crew who loves to have fun while working incredibly hard. I am thrilled about our partnership that we announced last week – we’re making business social and real. Our dedication to adoption is unrivaled in the marketplace. For example, last week at #SPC12 Unisys shared on stage that they’d achieved over 80% adoption of NewsGator and SharePoint across their entire enterprise. Reach out if you’d like to chat more about measuring the impact of social and connecting it to real business value.

NewsGator + Microsoft = The Only Mature, Trusted Solution for Enterprise Social

Spc12-dinnerI never cease to be amazed by the amount of laughs that we share with our customers and Microsoft partners – especially notable was coaxing the chef from Craftsteak out of the kitchen for a spicy sauce challenge. It was delicious by the way! I witness this same creativity and tenacity every day in making us collectively successful. Here’s to another incredible year together building social business solutions on the Microsoft stack.

NewsGator + Innovation = Making Social Real

Spc12-rollercoasterAfter dinner I attempted to persuade everyone onto the rollercoaster. Our new CEO ran away – along with 9 others :-) Four of us made the trip. Here’s a picture of us enjoying the ride. We’ll have some interesting twists and turns of our own over the next few months and I couldn’t be any more excited about being a part of the innovation, differentiation, and market domination of making social business a reality.

Bringing Emotion Back Into the Workplace

For anyone who knows me well, I’ve been a horror flick fan forever. In Vegas, I convinced two of my colleagues into the Goretorium after dinner on the last night we were in town. Suffice it say our team is not afraid to take risks and make some noise (that night I did my fair share of screaming). We’re bringing human emotions back into the digital workplace.
