NewsGator is continuing to help navigate our clients through the waves of social

By Jenay Sellers, July 25, 2012

Becoming a social enterprise not only makes business easier and faster, it also helps people work smarter and more efficiently. With Social Sites and its many benefits, employees are collaborating and interacting in a whole new way. From those implementing social for the first time to the customers upgrading their existing platforms – NewsGator will continue to help navigate them through the waves of social.

As we wrap up a successful second quarter, we would like to congratulate some of our customers on their impressive achievements. They have implemented social and are reaping benefits —from real-time collaboration to improved onboarding of new employees.

Altarum-institute-logoAltarum Institute – a nonprofit health systems research and consulting organization serving governments and private-sector clients recently migrated from SharePoint and Social Sites 2007 to 2010. They’ve branded the implementation ‘OneStop.’ With 450 users, adoption has been a smooth process aided by supportive business sponsors. Congratulations, Altarum!

Capital+Group+logoCapital Group – is one of the world’s largest investment management organizations, and with 7,000 associates in 23 different offices around the globe, there was a great need for social. They implemented NewsGator Social Sites this past quarter because of its customization, the ability to build a read-only activity stream for users who need to consume the information, and also protect security for the enterprise. Kudos, Capital Group!

Desjardins-logo[2]Desjardins – the largest financial cooperative in Canada – over 44,000 employees – has recently launched Social Sites. Interestingly, Desjardins has taken advantage of the localized version of Social Sites because their portal is completely in French. Félicitations, Desjardins!

ImflashlogoIM Flash – is a joint venture of Micron Technology and Intel, formed to manufacture NAND Flash memory for use in consumer electronics, removable storage, and handheld communication devices. The company implemented Social Sites to enable ideation as well as the ability for their employees to submit questions and have them answered by company leaders. Click here for more details about IM Flash’s success story. Nice work, IM Flash!

Lam_Research_logo_BlackLam Research – is a major supplier of wafer fabrication equipment and services to the worldwide semiconductor industry and when they announced the merger with Novellus this year, integration between the two companies was a priority.  Their implementation of Social Sites is helping them do just that. Great job, Lam Research!

Merck-co-logoMerck & Co, Inc. – the global research-driven pharmaceutical company recently migrated to Social Sites 2010 from 2007. The adoption of features, like the activity stream, has been so successful that a handful of divisions in the company are currently operating exclusively in the stream instead of using email. The ability to contact colleagues in real-time has made it easier for employees to find resolutions to issues that arise on production lines. Merck has been using Social Sites for over three years and continues to be an innovative “social” leader in the pharma industry. Click here to learn more about their OneMerck portal! Very impressive, Merck!

Statestreet-logoState Street Corporation – is a leading financial services provider that serves some of the world’s most sophisticated institutions. With more than 29,000 talented and dedicated employees all over the world there was a need for global collaboration and a way to onboard and train new employees. With their migration to SharePoint 2010 and Social Sites 2010, they are now able to do that and more. Way to go State Street!

Nice work everyone! We are impressed by our clients every day and by the simple, yet creative, ways they are implementing social tools to help them empower their employees and become connected, high performing workforces.
