NewsGator's Founder on Enterprise RSS

By Melissa Risteff, January 15, 2009

NewsGator's founder and CTO, Greg Reinacker, has published a very informative post on his personal weblog called "Enterprise RSS - the State of the Industry."  He wrote it in response to an ongoing debate online about the current health of Enterprise RSS.  He concludes that Enterprise RSS is, indeed, alive and well, though it's not always in "the obvious places."

Greg explains how, whether one realizes it or not, RSS is at the heart of Enterprise portal enhancement, alerts, competitive tracking, knowledge capture, social networking, and collaboration.  He suggests that for any of these specific problems, RSS forms the underlying plumbing to transfer content around the organization.

You can read the entire post on the state of Enterprise RSS here.
