Kudos to the NewsGator Team for a Great 2008!

By Melissa Risteff, January 12, 2009

As we kick-off the new year, I would like to take a moment to reflect on 2008.

NewsGator had a record year and we could not have accomplished this without our customers and our employees.  First, I’d like to thank our customers – we appreciate your business and your willingness to partner with us to drive the enterprise RSS & social computing market forward.  Secondly, I’d like to thank our employees for all of your hard work, dedication, and long hours that made this success possible.

NewsGator accomplished so much in 2008, here are just a few of our most recent accomplishments:

1) During the last part of the year, a host of industry leaders selected our on-premise and SaaS-based enterprise products including:

o Two of the world’s top three banks

o The world’s largest private public relations firm

   o The world’s second-largest law firm

o The world’s largest ERP company

o Three of the world’s largest providers and publishers of news and information

2) NetNewsWire, our iPhone RSS reader, was named one of TIME magazine’s Top 10 iPhone Apps for 2008.

3) We closed $10M in new funding.

4) We had the most successful quarters in our history in the third and fourth quarters of 2008, with fourth-quarter revenue the highest ever.

For more information about these successes, please read our recent press release.
