Don't Miss the New Features in the NewsGator Reader

By Leland Rucker, August 15, 2007

One of the many things we are obsessed with here at NewsGator is making the NewsGator Reader work faster and better. It has been a priority, and we have made a lot of changes in the last few months.

You can hear about those changes and how you can use them in a podcast recorded with Vice President of Product Management Brian Kellner, who explains how users have been involved in many of the changes and how the reader’s look and feel have changed.

Among those changes are the ability to play videos and podcasts without opening another program or leaving the reader and the ability to share posts with friends through the clippings folder. There are also some new features that allow people to use keyboard shortcuts to mark feeds read and instructions to access the free interface for mobile devices, including the iPhone, that allow readers to get their feeds no matter where they are.

The changes are also explained on the reader home page -- the first page you get when you sign into your account, and you can link to short, tutorial videos that explain the new features from that page.
