Feed Demon Security

By Melissa Risteff, August 08, 2006

There has been some discussion over the last few days in the press and the blogosphere from the Black Hat USA conference about possible security vulnerabilities with some feed readers. FeedDemon, one our products, was mistakenly included in the list of readers with signifcant vulnerability. We felt it was worth discussing in this venue, the feed security features that are inherent to FeedDemon. Nick Bradbury, the creator of Feed Demon, explains this in more detail in his blog post. Greg Reinacker, NewsGator's Founder and CTO also weigns in.

As Greg notes, bottom line, current versions of FeedDemon is not vulnerable to any of the signicant security flaws that were brought up in the report.
