Introducing NewsGator for Yahoo! Messenger

By Melissa Risteff, June 21, 2006

We're thrilled to introduce the newest member of the NewsGator family: NewsGator for Yahoo! Messenger. You can now view RSS feed titles in this wildly popular instant messaging platform and when you click on a link, a little window slides open to show you the content. Our editors will be regularly populating content such as news stories, podcasts and videos from around the Web and blogosphere. For those who want to get their regular NewsGator fare, you can easily personalize the content since it synchronizes with NewsGator Online accounts. Best of all it's free to use. A preview of the application is below.

If you don't already have it, you'll need to download the beta version of Yahoo! Messenger with Voice, Version 8.0 or later.  To find out more and to download Yahoo! Messenger and the NewsGator plugin, click here.
