Enterprise RSS in Full Swing

By Jennifer Smith, December 14, 2005

As Sandy Hamilton mentions here, many companies are starting to catch on to RSS applied to the enterprise.  NewsGator Enterprise Server (NGES) was developed specifically for that purpose, and has now been installed at 20 companies around the world.  And, the amount of interest we are receiving from the Global 200 is remarkable.

Some of the variables which have really resonated with our client base about NGES (besides all the awesome feature/functionality) is that companies of all sizes can benefit from a behind the firewall RSS solution, and, it isn't going to cost millions of dollars (or take a year and a cast of thousands) to implement.

The big hurdle for us, and I would imagine all companies who are selling Web 2.0 products and services, is evangalizing the technology.  The early adopters are all over this stuff and are ready for the next big thing - but that is only 7% (or so) of the online population.

So, of course we are excited about NGES and all of our customers who "get it."  The next challenge - continue to educate, because once you get it, you can't live without it.
