A Good Acquisition? No, a Great Acquisition!

As you may already know, NewsGator acquired Ranchero Software's NetNewsWire and MarsEdit brands a month or so ago.  You may recall us mentioning that we couldn't wait to get started working with Brent Simmons, the brilliant mind behind NNW. 

Well, we just got word that NetNewsWire has been nominated for the MacWorld Readers' Choice Awards.  This is cool on many different levels, but mainly that NetNewsWire ROCKS! and MacWorld, arguably the most well read Mac-centric magazine agrees.  Now we hope the readers agree, too.

Of course NetNewsWire hasn't won yet, and we have some pretty stiff competition (Transmit, Comic Life, Audio Hijack Pro, and more), but we are excited and honored to be nominated. 

So, go out and vote, and may the best app win.
