Testing NewsGator Enterprise Server Integration with MS Exchange

By Jennifer Smith, July 28, 2005

One of the major concerns for enterprise IT departments when purchasing any type of enterprise software is the how much that software will tax existing systems (and rightfully so).  That's why NewsGator developed NGES to integrate seamlessly with MS Exchange.  This way, users have the ability to have their feeds delivered into their inboxes without any plugins to install.  And, each feed (no matter how many subscribers) is polled only once which prevents the traditional "spikiness" with which RSS is sometimes associated.  The really good news for the users is that there is no new (and cumbersome) interface to learn.

Well, I'm sure many of you are saying, easier said than done, so we sent a couple of our engineers up to the MicroSoft Technology Center to do load/performance testing of the soon-to-be-launched NewsGator Enterprise Server.  Greg posts about the NGES test results today.
